Barry Selvidge

A Prime Point Media founder, Barry manages all payphone provider issues and also serves as the company’s in-house legal counsel. A well-known authority and influencer in the public communications (payphone) industry, Barry founded Payphone Exchange magazine in 1986. From 1988 to 1991, Barry practiced with Messer Law in Tallahassee, Florida, where his telecom clients included the American Public Communications Council (APCC), Florida Public Communications Association, Sprint, Florida Cable Television Association and McCaw Communications. From 1991 to 1998 he served as vice president of regulatory affairs and general counsel for Communications Central Inc. (CCI), a publicly-traded company that operated more than 26,000 public telephones in 42 states. In 1998, Barry founded Selvidge Strategic Consulting, advising operators, manufacturers, financial entities and trade associations in the public communications and telecom industries on telecom and regulatory issues.

Barry is the former Chairman of the APCC, the national association of providers, and has served as a director and advisor to numerous public communications associations across the country. He also possesses a strong media background, with experience as a publisher and editor of multiple publications for the telecommunications and broadcasting industries. Barry received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Tennessee
